  • Moses Perch: Moses Perch is another common fish species that are caught in various reef systems on the Sunshine Coast.
  • Mackerel: Mackerel can be caught in all reef systems on the Sunshine Coast but are more common in the Sunshine Reef area during the summer months.

When it comes to equipment, we typically recommend using a 6-8ft rod with a 6000-8000 size reel. For lures, soft plastics, and metal slugs work best. For bait fishing, we recommend using pilchards, squid, or live bait.
